Dear family, friends and fellow humanitarians,
Thank you very much for visiting our page! We are raising money to support both the operational costs for a new welcoming centre called “The Fáilte Centre” in the heart of Athens, Greece.
Our Centre will provide educational and mental health & psychosocial wellbeing support to all vulnerable individuals, such as refugees and asylum seekers, in Greece.
The Problem
In Athens, Greece, many individuals living in vulnerable situations are left without the resources needed to realise their full potential as members of their environment, which can negatively affect an individual’s mental health.
In order to be able to make such contributions, it is important that individuals living in vulnerable situations have access to resources to support their psychosocial well-being.
Our Solution
At The Fáilte Centre, we will provide individualised learning and mental health & psychosocial well-being support in a welcoming environment.
Our activities will include tailored English classes, teaching support, employment re-accreditation assistance, individualised social work sessions, and our Safe Space, where all individuals can come to use our sewing machines, art supplies and library books in a welcoming environment.
Our target group is vulnerable individuals, such as refugees and asylum seekers, in Athens, Greece.
Our Founders, Colleen Bromberger and Claire Campion, are both experienced humanitarians who have worked with refugees and vulnerable people for the past several years in Greece.
