Mothers of Courage

0 out of 5 based on 0 customer ratings

Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom

Two East European women, one a young widow with 2 children, the other an abandoned wife of 3, all of whom are of Primary School age, need your help.

They are fighting the threat of deportation to their home country which would place them in danger of : forced marriage, removal of their children , and put them at risk of sexual Trafficking.

Such a removal would violate their human rights and confront both families with a grave risk to their physical and mental health.

Both women applied for Asylum in the UK in search for a safer future. However, their initial cases were refused and this situation has been un -resolved since January 2017.

HOW THE FUNDING WILL BE SPENT

The funds will be spent on vital, but costly procedures, namely : psychaitric assessments and In – Country Reports which the women’ s Solicitor considers crucial in proving their vulnerability and the dangers they would face should they be removed from the UK. The Solictor is sympathetic and hard – working, but cannot avoid the heavy costs of Psychiatrists’ fees and those of the legal Academics ready to investigate the social and political environment of the women’s country of origin.
