Greetings, friends!

We are a small number of Australian teachers who recently volunteered support on the ground at the refugee camps near Cox Bazar, Southern Bangladesh. We will be joining and aiding NGO’s trying to deal with this massive human catastrophe.

Our focus will be on the children. Especially those that have been left orphaned.

Thousands of children are alone..their parents probably murdered. So as teachers,( one of us skilled in trauma counselling) we hoped to help establish a support and learning centre…temporary at first. The centre to be a place of safety, where we can asses needs, provide some love and give some small gifts, play games, draw and offer some food and water.

We joined with a Bangladeshi NGO whose focus is health care, nutrition and safety.

An other arm of our group will be helping to establish a medical centre .

Many Rohingya children suffer from severe malnututrition.. We will deliver safety and hygiene education to vulnerable women and children

There is a huge problem of rape and kidnapping of vulnerable women. We have sourced and have delivered rape alarms.

The enormous job of managing these people who have arrived with almost nothing is being taken up as the world has become aware of their plight. Our team will be joining other volunteers to path the way for others to continue creating a safe haven for these traumatized and hopeless children and giving them some new hope

We already had numerous excellent contacts on the ground who support our efforts but to ensure our money is not wasted and that every penny goes towards meaningful supplies we needed to establish secure and reliable corridors through which to send both donations and goods in the future. This has now been achieved with suppliers on the ground and also people who can distribute things for us.

During our recent trip we were able todeliver and distribute 100 good quality soccer balls, 2000 rape alarms for girls and women, and miscellaneous educational equipment.

Many things can be purchased in Cox Bazar but for good quality items such as the soccer balls they had to be purchased elsewhere.

We welcome any suggestions for donations of these kinds.

These children are suffering greatly from the lose of brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers plus the families have lost their livelihood. Each day they hey need just about everything and you can help us bring a little relief to thier suffering. We will use every dollar donated directly for these children and single mothers.

Together in our small ways we can make big changes to the World

By going over there I am able to document and report on the most we will documument and report on how we can all help in small ways that will not waste money or effort. This way we can all do something to help which is most meaningful to us. Thankyou very much for your support
