1. Who We Are Hello! We’re Bonnie and Lucas, we’re friends from graduate school where we studied human rights and development. We know Mohammed from an English‑training program, and over a lot of video calls we’ve come to know Mohammed’s family and the hardships they’re facing in Gaza.

Mohammed Alnabahin is 24 years old and the devoted brother of eight family members, including his precious little brother, 3‑year‑old Mahmoud. Through now nearly two years of extreme hardship and scarcity, as prices for basic necessities have skyrocketed and become harder and harder to find, Mohammed’s resilience and dedication to his family have been awe-inspiring and a testament to the strength of the human spirit.

Like many people, we feel heartbroken and powerless beyond words by the devastation in Gaza and want to do whatever we can to support the people of Gaza and especially the people we know personally amidst the blockade on aid going in. Sending Mohammed direct support so his family can afford supplies in Gaza is the best way for us to do that.
