*My name is Marai. I write to you with a heart filled with despair and hope, clinging to my belief that kindness still exists in this world.

My family includes: Me Marai, my wife Haneen, my 3-year-old daughter, Eileen and my 4-month-old son Ali. We are displaced in a tent in Mawasi Al-Qarara after being forced to flee from Khan Younis.

My wife gave birth to our child Ali during the war, under bombing and genocide. I want health care for my child and my wife. I support my children and they have become homeless and unsafe. My children need basic necessities such as milk and food. I currently live in a tent after losing my home due to the occupation and I cannot describe to you what life is like there. It is like hell. It is very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. In addition, there are insects and snakes. It is suffering. I want my children to live and be able to survive. Save them from the war and provide them with their needs of clothes, food, milk and diapers. I have been displaced several times, and every time I was escaping death and bombing amidst the screams of my children until I could get them out to a safer place. So I ask you to extend a helping hand to save them from death.

We wake up each day unsure if we will see tomorrow.

We long to leave, in search of safety and to provide milk, food, and healthcare for my children, but the costs of fleeing are beyond our means. We are asking all compassionate hearts to help us feed the kids and get through this brutality. We just want to live in peace as a family like everyone else.
