My name is Noor, and I’m here to share a heartbreaking story that I hope will touch your hearts.

My little sister Dima, with her beautiful green eyes, was injured during the war when a piece of shrapnel struck her left eye. Since that day, her journey has been filled with pain, fear, and the gradual loss of her vision.

أختي الصغيرة ديما، بعينيها الخضراوين الجميلتين، أُصيبت خلال الحرب بشظية في عينها اليسرى. ومنذ ذلك اليوم، رحلتها مليئة بالألم والخوف وفقدان البصر تدريجيًا.

She has undergone three major eye surgeries in an attempt to save her eye, but sadly, she suffered from retinal detachment, internal bleeding, and complete iris atrophy.

During the last surgery, doctors were unable to reconstruct the iris. Her once-bright eye has turned dark, and today, Dima has completely lost vision in her left eye. She is not only in physical pain, but also enduring deep emotional trauma.

Despite her young age, Dima has gone through what no child should ever experience. Now, she urgently needs an artificial iris implant surgery abroad. However, the cost of the procedure and treatment is extremely high — around $80.000 USD

لقد خضعت لثلاث عمليات جراحية كبرى في العين في محاولة لإنقاذ عينها، ولكن للأسف، عانت من انفصال الشبكية، ونزيف داخلي، وضمور القزحية بالكامل.

خلال الجراحة الأخيرة، لم يتمكن الأطباء من إعادة بناء القزحية. أصبحت عينها، التي كانت مشرقة في السابق، داكنة، واليوم فقدت ديما البصر تمامًا في عينها اليسرى. لا تعاني ديما من ألم جسدي فحسب، بل تعاني أيضًا من صدمة نفسية عميقة.

رغم صغر سنها، مرّت ديما بتجربة لا ينبغي أن يمرّ بها أي طفل. وهي الآن بحاجة ماسة إلى عملية زراعة قزحية اصطناعية في الخارج. إلا أن تكلفة العملية والعلاج باهظة للغاية، حيث تبلغ حوالي 80.000 دولار أمريكي.

And as if that wasn’t enough, we recently lost two of our brothers in the war — the most recent only a short while ago. Our parents live in constant grief, and I am doing my best to keep hope alive for Dima in the face of an increasingly harsh reality.

وكأن ذلك لم يكن كافيًا، فقدنا مؤخرًا اثنين من إخوتنا في الحرب – آخرهما منذ فترة قصيرة. يعيش والدانا في حزن دائم، وأنا أبذل قصارى جهدي لإبقاء الأمل حيًا لديمة في مواجهة واقع يزداد قسوة.
