My name is Haitham Ashhab, and I am raising funds to save my sister Ola and my mother, and to help our family escape the devastation in Gaza so they can get the care they urgently need.

Ola Ashhab (25 years old) was born with serious medical conditions after suffering oxygen deprivation and excess “brain electricity” at birth. Her struggles include:

Severely weakened eyesight

Difficulty speaking

Delays in intellectual development

No sensation in her hands (she cannot feel heat or cold, even if burned)

Severe calcium deficiency that caused her teeth to break, leaving her in constant pain

Despite her suffering, Ola remains resilient. Doctors told us the first step is a full dental implant surgery, as all her teeth must be replaced, followed by treatments for her vision and neurological issues. These procedures are critical for her to live with dignity—but the costs are far beyond what we can afford.

My mother is also in urgent need of care. She suffers from a severe spinal disc problem and requires a delicate operation in Egypt. This surgery must be done by highly skilled surgeons—any mistake could leave her permanently paralyzed. She is in constant, debilitating pain, but cannot get proper medical help in Gaza.

Even if we could afford the surgeries, it is impossible for them to recover in Gaza, where there is no safety, clean water, or stable medical care. To survive and heal, our entire family must evacuate to Egypt, where Ola and my mother can receive treatment and we can live free from bombings and displacement.

We are raising $50,000 USD to cover:

$8,000 – Full dental implant surgery for Ola

$4,000 – Vision, neurological, and speech treatments for Ola

$6,000 – Spinal disc surgery and recovery care for their mother in Egypt

$28,000 – Evacuation and relocation for the family (crossing fees, travel, temporary housing, food, and survival costs until they are resettled)

$4,000 – Post-operative care, medications, and emergency expenses
