My name is Muhammad Qadih and I just lost 10 of my relatives in an attack in Gaza.

I also lost my hand and half of my arm.

I used to help everyone and now I need help from everyone. Before the war I was just a teen in high school who dreamed of becoming an engineer. Now I am a 20 year old who lost his dream and part of his arm. The war broke all my dreams and my heart.

When I think of my future, I cry.

A few days ago, 10 people in my family were martyred when an aircraft bombed our tent in Khan Yunes. One of them was my 92 year old grandfather, who I carried on my shoulders or in his wheelchair through all the forced displacements. I never left him.

We lived in a camp full of tents and we had very little, but we had each other.

I spent all my time helping people. There was nothing I wouldn’t do if someone asked for my help because my biggest joy is helping people. I was a volunteer distributing food with @DirectAidGaza and I helped people set up their tents.

I didn’t always have money to survive, but I was happy helping others.

I don’t like needing so much help. I wish I could do more things on my own. But I hope I will find enough people to help me so I can dream and go to school again.

And get a new arm and a new hand.

We would likely to thank everyone who read Muhammad’s story and everyone who donated. In the past month, these funds helped Muhammad buy food and medicine essential for his recovery, such as antibiotics and anti-neuropathic painkillers. Since then, Muhammad has been discharged from the hospital and has moved in with his father, who is staying in a zone marked for evacuation. Muhammad is ready to start physical therapy, but he needs your continued support to have a chance at a full recovery. Some of the most pressing needs now are: a new tent to relocate in response to evacuation orders, a cell phone, food and medications, a fan and a battery (to get enough electricity for the fan), and funds for physical therapy. Please, kindly consider setting up a regular donation if you can and forward this appeal to your loved ones.
