This initiative raises funds for five families surviving the US/western-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza (October 2023– present), a catastrophic intensification of the settler colony’s campaign of extermination and forced removal of Palestinians that began more than seven decades ago.

This livestreamed genocide could not be sustained without the continuous supply of armaments from the United States.

Western ‘democracies’ led by the US are totally complicit in the Gaza genocide, providing military, economic, political and diplomatic support for Israel’s criminal atrocities. Western corporate media outlets promoted Israel’s mass slaughter of Palestinians by spreading disinformation and misinformation about Tufan Al-Aqsa (October 7, 2023) and engaging in ongoing journalistic malpractice.

Between March 2025 and May 2025, Israel imposed a starvation siege, preventing all food, medicine, fuel and other life-sustaining essentials from entering Gaza.

The trickle of aid Israel is currently allowing into Gaza is nowhere close to what Gazans need to survive. The UN has stated that Gaza’s entire population is at risk of famine. As of July 30, 2025, at least 154 Palestinians including 89 children have starved to death in Gaza due to Israel’s engineered famine, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

What little food is available in markets is largely unaffordable for Gazans—many of whom have no source of income. Most of Gaza’s agricultural lands have been targeted and damaged and its food production decimated by Israel’s genocidal tactics.

On May 27, 2025, the privately run US-Israeli “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” (GHF) began providing food aid in Gaza.

Between May 27, 2025 and July 30, 2025, more than 1,200 Palestinians have been killed and more than 8,000 injured trying to access meager aid provided at a handful of GHF ‘distribution hubs’ staffed by private military contractors accompanied by the Israeli military, according to the Gaza health ministry.

Gazans continue to endure malnutrition, lack of clean drinking water, lack of medications, and shelter and sanitation that is inadequate or nonexistent. These crises are compounded because Gaza’s healthcare system has all but collapsed due to Israel’s destruction of hospitals and medical equipment, critical infrastructure, its systematic murder of doctors and healthcare workers, and its blockade of medical supplies.

Israel continues to issue evacuation orders and concentrate Gazans in an ever-smaller area, with more than 80% of Gaza’s territory now being Israeli-militarized zones or areas under displacement orders. Families have been displaced numerous times. Nowhere is safe. Israeli massacres of civilians continue by bombardment and shelling, while Israeli-armed gangs pillage scarce food, terrorize Gaza’s population and attack its social cohesion.

Despite overwhelming public opposition to the genocide globally, western governments have maintained their full support of Israel, which continues to unleash its psychotically depraved collective punishment on Gaza’s population.

In this context, I became acquainted with people in Gaza who are struggling to survive horrific violence and engineered starvation. These individuals need ongoing monetary assistance to sustain their own lives and the lives of family and community members. This fundraiser will provide life-sustaining aid for five families.

Please also consider supporting The Sameer Project an outstanding mutual aid collaboration between Palestinians in Gaza and the diaspora.
