Update from Mahmoud:

I’m still alive but I’m not .Yesterday I suffered a skull fracture after a plane targeted the American relief trap. I need an x-ray tomorrow, and I need $100 for antibiotics and painkillers €400. I appreciate any help, please. My 3 beautiful sons and wife rely on donations, as we all do, to survive these days also.

Hi. I would like to share with you the story of Mahmoud, his wife and their three remaining children, Karim, Hatem and Mohammed. Following the bombing of their home they have been enduring unimaginable hardships as the crisis in Gaza enters its fifteenth month. Their lives are defined by tireless struggle, physical, subsistence and emotional, as they face challenges that no family should ever have to endure.

The war of genocide and siege has destroyed access to basic necessities. Food shortages have forced them to rely on expired, insect-infested wheat for their sustenance, while high prices make even the smallest necessities expensive. With aid and imports at all-time lows, the family is left with canned food as the only safe option.

The water crisis increases their suffering. The contaminated water has caused Karim and Hatem to contract a bacterial infection, yet a lack of medication and proper health care leaves them vulnerable. Their only relief was one box of over-the-counter painkillers – not at all enough to treat their growing health problems.

The emotional toll of living with such constant scarcity, fear, and uncertainty has deeply affected every family member. Our mission is no longer just to help them survive in these inhumane conditions – it is to help them escape. The funds we raise will go directly towards securing their evacuation and giving Mahmoud, his wife and their children a chance to rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. Direct support from outside has been the survivors in Gaza’s lifeline so far, and now, more than ever, they need your help. Together, we can bring them hope, security and a chance for a better future.

They are hoping to escape the hell of Gaza when the Rafah Crossing opens again. The price: US$5000 per adult and US$2500 per child just to get permission to enter Egypt. Then there are living expenses until Mahmoud manages to find some kind of income again.
