Hello, my name is Manal.

I’m just 4 and a half months old, born on March 2, 2025, into a world of war and suffering.

My mother, Mayar, is only 20 years old. She became pregnant during this devastating war – a war of genocide. Throughout her pregnancy, she suffered from severe malnutrition and gave birth in the harshest conditions, with no proper medical support.

Now, I am fighting for my life.

I suffer from malnutrition, fever, and dehydration. And most recently, I was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis – a life-threatening infection that requires urgent treatment.

Unfortunately, my family could only afford the very beginning of the necessary care. Without completing the full treatment, my condition may worsen quickly.

My family is doing everything they can, but they are overwhelmed.

My father, just 24 years old, is trying to support a household of 15 family members, including me and my mother. But he simply can’t do it alone.

We lost my grandmother in an airstrike on December 3, 2023 – I was named after her. My grandfather was badly injured in the war. He lost his sight and now suffers from psychological trauma and brain damage. Other members of my family are wounded and in desperate need of treatment too.

But right now, my life is at risk. Without your help, I may not survive this infection.

Please, if you can, donate whatever you’re able – even a small amount brings me closer to the treatment I urgently need. If you cannot donate, sharing this story could still save my life.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.

Baby Manal is almost 6 months old and needs solid food to grow healthy and strong.

Last week I asked Manal’s father if they had started solid foods, and he said they hadn’t – “real food” was out of reach. They were surviving on a few loaves of bread and sharing them with Manal.

Now, some goods are entering Gaza in limited quantities. Prices are still high, but lower than in past weeks. Please help her parents stock up on food while it’s more affordable and available.

Words from the fundraiser: I’m so happy to share a quick update about baby Manal. Thanks to your generous donations, she’s almost finished her treatment for bacterial meningitis – her parents are incredibly relieved and grateful.

Sadly, due to the harsh conditions she lives in, Manal now has a cold and flu. And her recent can of milk has just run out, she still needs your help. Any donation will help her parents buy a new one and continue giving her the nutrition she needs to recover and grow strong.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated – especially those who have contributed more than once. One lovely donor even left a sweet message for Manal, and her father was deeply touched by it.

Manal is such a cute and smart baby. Her father recently sent me some adorable photos of her holding her bottle all by herself – a small but beautiful milestone that reminds us how far she’s come.

Unfortunately, her father’s account has recently been reported, and his posts are now being restricted. This means fewer people are seeing the campaign, making it harder for him to get the help Manal needs. If you can, please help by sharing this campaign – every share can reach someone who might be able to give.

Thank you again for standing by Manal and her family. Every contribution, every message, and every share brings her one step closer to a healthy, happy future.

Update from the fundraiser: Thanks to your generous donations, Manal’s parents were able to buy her a can of milk! A single can lasts about 4-5 days. Her father told me he hopes to raise enough funds to keep buying milk before they run out again.

Manal still urgently needs medical treatment, clean water to prepare her bottles, and diapers – which are extremely expensive. Her parents tried using cloth instead of diapers, but it caused painful rashes for Manal.

Manal also needs new clothes. Her parents donated most of her small clothes to other children in need, and because new clothes are very expensive, they have kept just a few pieces that are now quite small for her but still fit enough for her to wear.

Thank you so much for your continued support and kindness for baby Manal and her family.

I look at my healthy grandchildren and thank God, then I weep for Baby Manal and all the children of Gaza. Please know that although the world lets this go on, millions of us stand with you and pray for you.
