Help Malak to support her family in Palestine

Malak and her husband Mahmoud and their baby son Adam need your help urgently.

They are living in Palestine trying every day to survive the genocide. Adam is only 2 years old and doesn’t sleep at night because of the sound of bombs. He is always scared and anxious.

They are struggling to get basic food due to the deliberate famine and there is no gas to cook with.

Malak is currently pregnant and trying to support herself and her baby in terrifying circumstances. She is struggling to gain weight due to the lack of food available and extremely high costs of most food that her body needs.

They are currently cooking over firewood in very difficult circumstances and getting even essential food items are becoming more and more impossible.

Their immune systems are becoming weaker because of this and they can’t afford vitamins or healthy food to support themselves or their child. Everything is getting more and more expensive and harder each day.

Malak desperately wants to complete her studies but doesn’t have enough money and all her energy is spent struggling to keep herself and her family alive.

Mahmoud is also supporting his mother who needs to get out of Palestine and his sisters who want to complete their education. Mahmoud’s lost his job when his place of work was bombed.

Now neither Mahmoud nor Malak have any source of income to support them.

They need you to help them to stay alive and to support their family:

They are in desperate need of food, water, medicine, vitamins, milk and nappies, safety, security and all the necessary supplies to survive. They also need to save emergency money in case of forced displacement again.

Malak has had a particulalry rough few weeks. She spilt hot oil on her leg and foot and the burns were so bad she couldn’t walk. Then when she tried to get to hospital she fainted. She has now damaged the other leg and is in immense pain.

Adam her son has also been very sick for the past week. She has been so worried she hasn’t slept for 3 days.

Then a week ago all Malak and Mahmoud’s money got stolen when they were tricked by a scammer and they have been left again with no money. This has been happening to a few people.

Money goes so quickly as it is. Commission is still 45 percent and the cost of food is ridiculous. Because Malak is pregnant and the stress has been unbareable for her it is an even more dangerous situation.

Malak wanted to share with you about her money as she is in desperate need of more donations and there have been very few recently.

“A week ago, something bad happened to me. I collected the latest money from the chuffed link and put it in my bank account. But someone frauded my husband and tricked him into accessing the money. All our money was gone. I can’t believe this is what really happened to me. I’m very tired and sick too. My husband is the same. And so is my son Adam. I’m trying to find a lawyer or way to get the money back. The money was in my bank account and now it’s gone. I hope my close friends understand. I need your support and help. We are so tired. If you can help me and compensate me with any money, I am very grateful to you.”

Malak has just asked me to write an urgent update. She has been given an evacuation notice and has already started to hear bombing loudly getting closer. She is messaging saying she is so scared.

They urgently need money to buy supplies so they can stay inside the next few days while it is severly dangerous. She is really afraid for baby Adam.

Malak also asked me to thank you all so much for you kind donations and tell you how much it means to her.

Please can you send any donation possible? We have only £32 in the bank from her campaign to transfer over right now (and that will be £19 after comission so wont buy anything). She is writing to me right now saying the night will be long and fears the bombing is coming nearer.

After the bombing that destoryed the flat nextdoor to Malak’s parent’s house they have been very stressed. They hear the sound of shelling every day,even though luckily for now it’s far away. The stress is impacting everyone’s health.

Money is not going very far right now with commission rates at 44% nearly half of any funds dissapears before they get it. They always need money as prices are rising daily, so sometimes they don’t have the money to buy food they need. For days, no donations have been received through this page and the family are feeling the panic not knowing if they will have any money for food.

It is becoming harder and harder to find wood to make a fire to cook and just basic day to day living is getting more and more difficult.

“I have a headache every day, and I can’t do anything anymore. It’s also difficult to prepare food. There’s no healthy or clean food.

The firewood is very dirty so the smoke is dirty. Life is very tiring.” – Malak

Malak told me she went to the Doctor last week and they told her that she has anemia. This is likely to be a direct resonse to not being able to get protein. This is dangerous for her unborn child, and her. She needs extra money to get things like tinned meat or eggs when they appear (as they very rarely are for sale so when they are they they are usually gone within hours). She already isn’t putting on enough weight and her body doesn’t agree with lentils or beans so she is struggling.
