A cry from the heart of hunger: Help me feed my family

Ibrahim is in desperate need of support to provide food for his family, as well as urgent medical care for his grandmother. Please, if you can help in any way, it would mean a lot to Ibrahim and his family, who are in a critical situation, and could save their lives. Here are Ibrahim in his own words:

“I am Ibrahim Hamad, a 21-year-old young man from Gaza. I am the eldest son of my family, and I am responsible for them after life failed us and the war broke us. We lived in Beit Hanoun, in a small, warm house that we loved. We owned a simple shop that was our only source of income… until October 7th came, the beginning of the genocide that destroyed everything.

In an instant, we lost our home, our shop, and our security. We were displaced to the south, living in a tent that neither kept us out in the cold in the winter nor protected us from the blazing summer heat. We lost everything, and now we are living through the most difficult days we have ever known: no food, no medicine, no hope.

My responsibility is great, as I bear the responsibility of caring for my entire family… but the greatest pain is the condition of my sick grandmother, who

needs urgent treatment, medications, and surgeries that I cannot afford. I stand helpless as her tears fall, afraid of losing her as I lost my previous grandmother. My heart aches, and I don’t know who to cry to, but I cling to hope.

I ask you – with all your kind hearts – to contribute to my campaign, by donating or participating. Every contribution, no matter how small, could save a life and ease the pain.

I lost my grandmother… I lost the most precious person in my heart. I loved her with an indescribable love and did everything I could to help her, but the cruelty of life was beyond my control. The lack of medicine and food exhausted her body and weakened her health until she passed away.

My grief for her is indescribable, and my heart is filled with the fear of losing another member of my family. After all this injustice and pain we are experiencing, I can no longer bear it. I dug a grave with my own hands for the most precious person in my life and buried her… That was the most difficult moment I have ever experienced, and I pray to God that no one ever experiences such a situation or the loss of a loved one.

I was collecting donations for my family and to buy medicine for my grandmother. I did everything I could for her and endured a lot, but malnutrition took her life. I ask God to have mercy on her and forgive her, and to grant me patience and strength to bear what we are going through.

I am Ibrahim, a 21-year-old young man from Gaza, and I am the eldest in my family.

Our situation in Gaza is very difficult. We are a family of 10, including my disabled grandmother, and my unemployed father. We have no source of income and rely solely on donations, but they are not enough, especially after the commission rate increased to 45%. With the stifling inflation, we can no longer even afford a living.

The most painful thing is my grandmother’s condition… She is very ill and requires approximately $700 in medication per month and constant care. I, unfortunately, am unable to meet her needs, nor can I afford her treatment.

I am exhausted, tired, and frustrated because I am helpless… Please help me by donating. You are our only hope. Even if we could just cover my grandmother’s medication and feed my little siblings, I would be grateful to you from the bottom of my heart. My grandmother’s health condition is very difficult, and her medication has run out. We have no one but God and kind people like you.
