I have created this fundraiser with a heavy heart. I am reaching out to you today on behalf of a mother and her little boy—Reem and Amer—who have lost everything.

For three long months, Reem and Amer were crammed into an overcrowded UNRWA shelter. Twelve people in a 3×3 meter space. No mattresses, no pillows—just a thin mat on a cold floor. No clean water. No dignity. Hours spent waiting in line just to use a bathroom. Hunger pressing in on them from every direction.

And when the bombs fell again, they were forced out into the open—into a tent that has been their “home” for over 15 months now.

Can you imagine trying to raise a child in a tent?

The winter was merciless. Rain soaked their blankets. The cold crept in through every seam. The nights were long and terrifying, with the howling wind their only lullaby.

There is still no electricity. No water. No food. No safety.

Amer shivers in his mother’s arms, asking for something to eat. And Reem—this brave, heartbroken mother—sometimes has nothing to give him but silence and tears.

A single tomato now costs up to $4, if she’s lucky enough to find one. Some days, they go to sleep hungry, again. Some days, the weight of it all feels like it might crush her.

But she keeps going.

Because she is his entire world.

Because Amer deserves a chance.

Reem has held herself together with nothing but love and prayer.

She tries to be strong for her little boy. She smiles through the pain, sings lullabies to drown out explosions, whispers promises that better days will come—even when she doesn’t know how.

But now, she needs you.
