Hi, my name is Cathy Peeters and due to the geographical restrictions of this platform I am acting as intermediary for my friend Mohammed Akram Abu Nada.

This fundraiser is set up to collect funds to cover for the medical treatment for the war injuries Mohammed sustained. Mohammed has been injured multiple times in airstrikes and he is in need of a prostetic hand and medical shoes.

My name is Mohammed, a 25-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. My life was once filled with hope and ambition, but the war has taken everything from me.

At the beginning of the war, I was sitting with my friend when a missile struck a nearby house. Shrapnel hit my left leg, and my friend was also injured—he later passed away from his wounds. Not long after, we were forcibly displaced from our home and had to live in a classroom with three other families, struggling to survive without clean water. When we were finally able to return to our neighborhood, our home was completely destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.

We moved in with relatives, but life remained unbearable. Northern Gaza was gripped by famine; there was no food, not even a loaf of bread. Every basic necessity was completely unavailable.

Then came the darkest day of my life—February 9, 2024. My siblings and I were searching for food when Israeli soldiers fired a direct shell at us. My younger brother was killed instantly, and I lost the fingers on my right hand. I can no longer carry anything, work, or even continue my university education.

Now, I urgently need a prosthetic hand and medical treatment to regain some normalcy in my life. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. And if you cannot donate, please share my story so it reaches those who can help.
