Thank you for reading this. Your solidarity provides Waseem’s family with much-needed support during this time of extreme injustice and inhumanity. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a world of difference. Not only by providing material means for existence, but by showing that we witness the occupation’s crimes, and we stand with the people of Palestine, their inalienable right to justice, freedom, equality, life and liberty.

The occupation forces have prevented food, electricity, water, medicine, fuel and almost all aid from entering Gaza, since they violated the precarious ‘ceasefire’ on March 18, 2025. The weaponization of hunger, ethnic cleansing, and genocide amount to crimes against humanity.

Tragically, on 01/08/2025, Waseem was martyred by the occupation forces while attempting to secure food. He was gunned down for daring to exist.

Since this terrible loss, we have been able to reach out to and connect with Waseem’s family, to continue the solidarity campaign, and raise funds for Yazan and the rest of the Almobayed family.

With your support, money raised will go towards purchasing food, flour, water, medical supplies, clothing, blankets, rent, and any other essentials that are in short supply.

All funds are sent directly to Waseem’s family.

His memory will always be cherished.

“Gaza is no longer the city I once knew… Its streets used to be full of life – Children’s laughter, street vendors’ voices, the smell of fresh bread at dawn. Now… only silence, rubble, and indescribable pain. Every corner held a memory – now, all memories lie beneath the ruins. Homes are no longer homes, roads no longer roads… It feels like life has left us, and only death remains. Gaza is being killed — not just by bombs, but by the world’s silence. Yet despite all the pain… We love her. And we will live here, even on the ashes.”

“No home, no life, no homeland, no food, no water, no future, no study, no work, no money, nothing. I have lost everything. I have nothing left but my body now. I hope that Israel does not take it from me and kill me.”

Dear friends,

I am glad to report that, after the tragic and completely unjustified murder of Waseem by occupation forces, we, his friends, have been able to connect with Waseem’s immediate family members in Gaza. We have re-enabled donations and all funds will be sent to Waseem’s brother Yazan and family, to pay for essentials such as food, water and medicine.

Hello dear friends. Unfortunately, we received word that Waseem Almobayed was marytred last night.

The situation is dangerous, but this still comes as a shock. Our deepest condolences are with Waseem’s family at this time.
