We serve individuals who are medically marginalized, particularly those who are unable to access traditional medical centers due to financial constraints or other factors such as injury or age. Our target audience includes people who cannot afford their treatments or face significant barriers to healthcare access.
Our service model is built on compassion and commitment to the community. We serve a wide range of marginalized individuals, with a special focus on the elderly. Elderly people in Gaza are suffering immensely and are overlooked by most aid initiatives that tend to prioritize children, which is understandable given the amount of need and the urgency of cases.
Elderly people, however, are dying unnoticed from a lack of medications and care for normally manageable chronic diseases. They often don’t receive aid and are extremely compromised because of the harsh conditions in which they live. Imagine, for a moment, your beloved grandma or grandpa, living in a tent on sand, unable to get up or sit down, or move in a wheelchair if they are lucky enough to have one.
We provide comprehensive medical care, including all types of treatments, health education, and awareness campaigns aimed at empowering individuals with knowledge about their health.
Beyond medical treatment, we listen to the personal stories of those we serve, offering emotional and moral support to help them navigate the challenges they face. Despite the surrounding difficulties, we strive to provide the best possible care, always prioritizing the needs and dignity of those we serve. Our goal is to make healthcare accessible, restore hope, and improve the quality of life for marginalized communities.
All health services including medication are offered free of cost by the Jaddi Project.
November marked the inaugural month of the Jaddi Project, which focused on providing mobile medical services to marginalized communities. Two area-specific initiatives were conducted in the Nuseirat and Al Magahzi camps, where need evaluations were carried out, followed by medical appointments and medication distribution.
The project also held two community meetings on chronic disease prevention: one in Al Magahzi for both men and women, and another in Nuseirat exclusively for women.
Additionally, the project provided medical support to two children: one received assistance for a colostomy bag, while the other was referred for a micturating cystourethrogram (MCUG) at Nassr Hospital, with Saed accompanying the family for the procedure.
A man with an infected shrapnel wound was treated with antibiotics and wound care, and a woman in need of thyroid medication was provided the necessary treatment.
The Jaddi Project stands apart from traditional medical services, offering flexible, mobile healthcare that reaches those who might otherwise have no access to medical care.
