Muhammad Al-Harazin, 21, and his family of 9 have been displaced more than 10 times due to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Their home in Gaza City was destroyed, and they were displaced to southern Gaza. When the initial ceasefire began in January 2025, the family made the long walk back to Gaza City in the north, but found their home completely destroyed. They continue to face horrific circumstances with no means of income and all humanitarian aid now blocked from entering (as of early March 2025). Muhammad, who was once a carpenter, has lost everything, including his livelihood. With the constant threat of violence and displacement, his family is struggling to survive.
The Al-Harazin family now lives in a makeshift shelter in the ruins of their old home — surviving in extreme conditions without access to clean water, sufficient food, or healthcare. The family is enduring extreme temperatures, hunger, and poor sanitation while under constant threat of further attacks.
Survival has become a daily struggle, with food staples like flour now costing $300 per bag. Muhammad and his family desperately need your help to provide food, water, shelter, and basic necessities to get through these difficult times.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit Muhammad and his family, allowing them to purchase essential supplies. Every donation makes a difference, and we provide proof of transfer for full transparency.
Lindsay from the UK has become a friend of the family, initially being connected by providing e-sims to Muhammad, so he and his family could communicate with the outside world and other people trapped in Gaza. She raised money for Muhammad and the Sameer Project by walking 42km in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she lives (more info on that fundraiser here). All donations will be used directly to purchase essential supplies for the Al-Harazin family. As with the previous marathon fundraiser, we ensure full transparency by providing receipts for every transfer. Lindsay and Emily (co-fundraiser) have full documentation of all transfers, and we’re happy to share them with anyone who wants to verify where the funds are going.
The situation in Gaza is dire, and Muhammad family is in urgent need of humanitarian aid. The ongoing conflict has resulted in massive displacement, with families like Muhammad’s forced to live in extremely harsh conditions. Immediate support for Gaza refugees is critical. refugees is urgent. Basic necessities, including food, water, and medical supplies, are in short supply. The cost of basic food essentials has skyrocketed, making survival in Gaza nearly impossible.
Urgent Humanitarian Aid Needs:
Food: Prices for basic staples like flour and rice are prohibitively high.
Water: Clean drinking water is scarce and contaminated.
Shelter: Muhammad and his family live in a temporary nylon tent, exposed to extreme temperatures and flooding.
Medical Aid: Basic medical supplies are needed to address illness and injury.

“Hello, I am Muhammad Al-Harazin from Gaza, 21 years old. I created this link because I have no other solution.
I used to work in carpentry, but my business was destroyed by the occupation. Now, we live without any source of income and struggle every day to survive. Every day is a fight for survival, and we have nothing left.”
Despite the devastation, Muhammad and his siblings hold onto their dreams for a better future:
As Muhammad puts it, “We all wish to end the war, to live happily, to live our lives as they should be.”
By supporting this fundraiser, you are providing more than immediate survival necessities like food, water, and shelter—you are helping Muhammad and his family hold onto hope for a brighter future. Every donation makes a difference in their lives, offering them the chance to rebuild and dream again.

Let’s face it – more often than not everything continues to be horrific. But here is a quick, good-news interlude to show you that you are making a difference. Pictured are the goods that Muhammad was able to buy for his family with your donations, and a personal thank you from him. The family have no income apart from via this fundraiser, so it really is the difference between life and death. Massive thanks again to everyone who has donated so far, and continues to show up. Anything you can spare, or even just sharing the fundraiser is hugely appreciated, as always. Much love, Lindsay and Emily, on behalf of Muhammad and his family.
Hi everyone, and thank you for your donations! They continue to be the family’s lifeline. At the moment, some goods are entering the commercial food markets, including oil, sugar, dates, and cheese. While the prices are still outrageous, they have dropped a little since a little more aid has been allowed in by the occupation. The aid that has arrived is still a drop in the ocean, but it’s some good news. Muhammad says “We hope that a lot of flour, chicken, meat and eggs will become available as the body needs them a lot.” More worryingly, though, is the news from last Friday that ‘Israel’ has issued evacuation orders for Gaza City, to try force people there into the south, and a notice that they aim to physically occupy the entire Gaza Strip. Muhammad says the family planned to stay in Gaza City for the time being and not move south, unless life became impossible there, as there is literally no where left for the people to go. Since the evacuation orders, however, bombing has intensified in Gaza City and elsewhere, and has been particularly bad in Muhammad’s area. Most of the press documenting the genocide in the north were tragically wiped out a few days ago, as the occupation aims to leave no witnesses to their holocaust. The intensified bombing is making the family consider moving south. However, many if not all of the crossings south have been closed. Once again, people are being asked to leave, with no where to go to, and no safe passage. The only hope is that the plan to fully occupy the whole Strip isn’t carried out due to international pressure, and/or that the border with Egypt is opened to allow out those who want to leave – this is technically ethnic cleansing, another war crime, but many see it as the only remaining way of survival. In the meantime, your donations are still very, very much needed, especially while there is a little more food available to buy. Thank you again to everyone who has donated. Once again, you are keeping the family alive. Much love, Lindsay and Emily, on behalf of Muhammad and the family.
Thanks everyone who has donated lately, it’s hugely appreciated. Here’s another update… Muhammad and his family are still in the north of the Gaza Strip, in Gaza City. As you’ll know if you’e read these updates, they were living in the ruins of their old home, after returning there during the ceasefire back in Feb/March. However, the family had been pushed into the west of the city after the ruins of their neighbourhood were bombed again, and they narrowly escaped. The family went to live with relatives in the west of Gaza city. Last week, the occupation forces withdrew from their neighbourhood in the east to regroup before more attacks. While it was safer to visit, Muhammad and some family members returned to see what was left of their already ruined neighbourhood, here in the video below (the video has been sped up as it’s easier to send a smaller file when the internet connection is extremely bad). There’s nothing left – the occupation are just re-bombing already bombed areas. Despite this, life is going on for the family. There is the tiniest amount of food reaching the markets, at extremely inflated prices. Please don’t let the images of air drops and a few aid trucks being driven in fool you – this is propaganda. Nothing is reaching the vast, vast majority of people. The air drops are a gimmick to try make it look like governments are helping, but they’re not – they’re dangerous when landing, far more expensive than aid trucks (which are waiting at the border but aren’t allowed in), and what litle aid they contain is often rotten or next to useless. All this to say, please keep donating – it’s literally the difference between life and death for Muhammad and his family right now. Don’t lose hope. Don’t look away. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends and family who might be able to. It’s already too late for so, so many people, but it’s not too late for this family. Much love, Lindsay and Emily
