Community and Health Center (CHC) Is a charitable organization 501c3 registered in the USA—Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and with its activities (functioning) in Africa—Kanye, Botswana.
CHC is dedicated to providing resources and services to the African community, Kanye, Botswana. We provide health and wellness services, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment referrals, counseling, community activities and essential services for the youth, elderly and impoverished in the community.
For the past 7 years, the Community and Health Center (CHC) has seen tremendous growth in serving the essential needs of the underserved community in Kanye, Botswana. We want to continue that growth in order to provide more essential services for the community members in Kanye. The community is continuously growing, therefore the need for access to critical resources and support is growing as well.
The Community and Health Center was founded by Matlhatso Kesupile-Reed, a nurse and behavioral health psychotherapist residing in Philadelphia, PA (USA). Reed established the non-governmental organization (NGO) to spread her passion, compassion and love for serving humanity.
To support her mission, she has received invaluable resources and support from her husband Samuel A Reed III, a teacher and business consultant, and her brother Mooketsa Busboy Kesupile, former headmaster who resides in Kanye, Botswana.
Our mission is to provide services to the underserved members of the community of Kanye, Botswana. We provide services for all ages—children, youth and elderly—-by providing an environment that is safe and secure, as well as promoting education and a holistic high-quality life, with dignity, respect and compassionate care to everyone we serve.
We do so by following the philosophy: Help people help themselves.
We need additional support in order to continue our mission.
Ongoing support is always needed in order to help the underserved community members in Kanye. Specifically children with disabilities. We offer a day program for both children and adults with disabilities to help them stay engaged and learn essential skills.
We also need support for the various school programs available for school-aged children in Kanye, Botswana. The learning programs put in place for children teach them critical life skills in order to help break poverty cycles.
Other vital programs we have in place to better the community include exercise programs, health education and counseling are offered to the community. As well as Behavioral Health Services which consist of:
Education on prevention of drugs
Motivational counseling
Psychotherapy
Referrals to drug addiction specialists
Together these health and educational programs work to create a better community – and ultimately a better world.
But we need your help in order to sustain the growth of these programs for a community in need.

We have a board of trustees located in Botswana to delegate the services and resources to the community.

$500.00+ supports Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Care for 5 individuals
