We are raising money for children with Down syndrome who have difficulties making friends and socializing. They usually have low self-esteem and do not participate much in activities. When therapy dogs visit their center, they find a friend who is there for them unconditionally. With therapy dogs by their side, they make new friends, love taking part in activities, and become more social than before. Therapy Dogs provide them with much-needed motivation and emotional support and help them thrive in their life.

Therapy dogs are dogs that are specifically trained to provide emotional support to those in need. Our fundraiser effort is one of the few in in the world that asks for assistance and contributions for these dogs.

There are different types of therapy dogs and your contributions help them reach people in need.

Seizure-alert dogs are specifically trained to know the signs. They ensure you are healthy and well and alert others if they sense you are about to experience a seizure.

Psychiatric service dogs have been trained to provide care to those with PTSD, a stress disorder, and other mental health concerns. These dogs are trained to sense impending anxiety attacks, among other conditions, and take action.

Emotional support animals provide comfort to people who suffer from psychiatric conditions. Because emotional support dogs don’t perform tasks, they do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
