Hey legends,

I’m Mason (he/him), a trans man living in Sydney (Gadigal land), originally from Lightning Ridge (Yuwaalaraay land). Growing up in a rural town with no trans visibility, it took me a long time to understand my identity — but once I did, everything changed.

Since starting testosterone in 2019, I’ve been working toward aligning my body with who I truly am. The next step is top surgery — something I’ve dreamed about for years. Binding every day is exhausting, and I’m finally booked in for surgery on September 18th with Dr Simon Tsao in Melbourne.

Top surgery is life-changing, but the out-of-pocket expenses can be steep — anywhere between $4,000–$18,000 depending on the surgeon and procedure (TransHub). This fundraiser will help cover those costs and get me across the finish line.
