The ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka has officially given rise to a national health emergency. Not only are thousands unable to access basic necessities such as gas and electricity, but patients are also in unavoidable life-threatening situations due to the country’s severe drug shortage. Hundreds of doctors and health care workers have taken to the streets to protest for the supply of more essential medications. Doctors are being forced to make heartbreaking decisions every day due to severe shortages.

Here’s what we’re doing about it

In light of this situation, MUSLSA is donating all proceeds from the futsal event to funding essential cancer medication in Sri Lanka. Alongside participating in our mini-games and purchasing from our charity stall, donating to this fundraiser will allow us to supply medication for the paediatric cancer ward at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama, Sri Lanka. It will help us save the lives of countless, suffering children.
