Cancer Treatment for Timothy

A lot of my friends on facebook will know about my friend Sumaiyah Nankuba from Uganda who had an awful time in Saudi Arabia as a maid, but in reality the situation was closer to slavery. This fundraiser isn’t for her, but for her elder brother Mukisa Timothy, which I am doing on his behalf.

Timothy went to the dentist and discovered that an infection in his tooth had turned into cancer and a tumour rapidly grew in his jaw. He wanted me to pass on this message:

“Hello my dears, I’m called MUKISA TIMOTHY from Uganda, am suffering from RHABDOMYSARCOMA CANCER. I kindly request for any help so that I can be able to access my surgery and treatment for my cancer. my dears, am real experiencing alot of pain, all I need is to retain my life. Thankyou so much.”

I know times are tough everywhere in the world right now, but with no public healthcare or a welfare state, Uganda is facing a huge amount of suffering due to the effects of COVID-19 and lockdown restrictions have meant that limited funds have been further limited by the inabillity to go to work. People are even starving but the government provides no support. Each cancer treatment appointment is 800000UGX which is about 160GBP, so I have set the goal to 200GBP, which should help to cover one treatment and other expenses involved in Timothy’s care. I know everyone is struggling for money at the moment so any pennies, love and support will be immensely appretiated.

I can’t stand back and see such a lovely and positive family suffer without doing something to try to help. We are so lucky in the UK to have our NHS and healthcare is a basic human right.
