On behalf of Sakolah Adat Arus Kualan a school for indigenous children we invite donors to help us take care of little Wulan.
On June 7th 2019 our sister Wulan was the victim of a hit and run in Tahak village. Just moments before the accident she was dancing with her friends in preparation for an annual event to celebrate Dayak culture.
Wulan is currently in a coma and undergoing intensive care at the Antonius Hospital in West Kalimantan.
Little Wulan’s medical bills are already mounting and while we hope she regains consciousness with the love of her family and friends, she may need extensive care and treatment in hospital.
$10000 will ease the financial burden on Wulan’s family and allow them to stay by her bedside, extra funds will go towards her continued care and recovery.
Anyone who donates $250 will receive a print of Wulan and her indigenous school friends by photographer David Metcalf.

Hello Supporters of Little Wulan, This photo was taken in Wulan’s village in the west of Borneo and you’re looking at an angel who has been to hell and back but she’s healing so well! – Approaching her house I had every intention to be strong but it was impossible to keep up appearances…when I spoke to her mother about her injuries she broke down, when I told her how beautiful she was she smiled, so we silently agreed to cry together. – Wulan can’t speak yet but she understands what you say and her tears & smiles are a strong indicator of a brain that’s working. – She can bend her knees and elbows and even sit up when she’s supported by her loving Mum. She can’t stand yet but she does make small movements of her spine which is also a sign of a central nervous system that is repairing itself. – Wulan was hit at full speed on a mining road and thoroughfare for palm oil trucks, the same vehicles still shake her house when they pass by at night so we’re hoping to prevent this from happening again by installing speed bumps. – I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support…sending your love to Wulan will help her stand up and sing again. – Love from Wulan and her family. X

Dear Supporters, I would like to express my deep gratitude for your your kind words, your heart felt prayers and all your donations to support Wulan’s medical care while she was in hospital. My friend Dessy, Wulan’s friend & the founder of her school Sakolah adat arus kualan has written this short letter to you all: Thank you we say to all the parties that help the cost of Wulan’s hospital bills. Wulan has been brought back home because the doctor has given approval for Wulan to go home and there will be a lot of friends and her family who can bring her to talk and help support her brain. Her own situation is good but Wulan has not been able to talk, and can not respond to the people beside her, her hands are sometimes stiff but sometimes she can move them. The doctor said the influence of the swelling on her brain is significant and her recovery may be a little longer but slowly with therapy we pray Wulan can be healed. Wulan will also receive traditional medicine, because from the villagers they suggest to try the various medicine that they know. This photo was taken the first day Wulan was brought home with friends of our school Sekolah Adat. The Panda doll was a dream of Wulan’s and was given by the doll seller at gawai dayak nyapat. We thank you to all who help us both through cost and prayer. We can’t repay you, but only the best wishes to all, is to receive the grace of God that is the one who is the one who is the one. Thinking of you & thinking of Wulan as she continues her healing, Philip Dickenson, Founder Yoga For Nature.

To Everyone Who has supported our campaign to pay for Wulan’s life support and hospital bills…we thank you from the depth of our hearts. Yesterday Wulan was moved to a recovery ward from ICU and today doctors will commence therapy and tests to better understand the nature of her brain injuries. It’s a worrying time for her family and adding to their stress are the growing costs for her medical care. Wulan’s hospital bills for the past 17 days are approx. $5200 which is just below our current fundraising total of $6000…but of course her treatment is ongoing and critical to her prospects of a full recovery. We now have 7 days remaining to raise $4000 and reach our target, so could you please share Wulan’s camapaign with your friends and family. Much love & light, Phil, Founder or Yoga For Nature
