I’m transgender FTM meaning I was born in a female body but I identify as male & so I am taking steps to physically transition.

This is a daily struggle for me.

You might be confused to why I consider this ‘life saving surgery’ well to put it simply I live on the border of feeling suicidal every day. It’s a suffocating feeling that is completely affecting my mental state and stress levels.

Currently I have to bind my chest if I want to get through my day as comfortable as possible. In summer or at work I can’t bind. So during these days & hours I struggle deeply. Without the binder I don’t just feel uncomfortable, the dysphoria is so bad that I have intrusive thoughts of cutting my chest away just to get relief. This might sound extreme or even crazy but this is what I am living daily as a person who does not identify with their assigned gender. Never have, never will. Being in society without having gender reassignment surgery is almost unbearable. Being mid transition is unbearable.

Top surgery is inessence, a life changing surgery that would help alleviate a lot of dysphoria for me.

I’ve needed this surgery for a long time & at 47 it’s almost just too late.

Sugery costs between $10k & $16k which unfortunately is not something I can achieve any time soon. But I am desperate. I won’t go into much more detail about how hard it is for me but know this surgery means more to me than anything. I need help.
