If you had asked me even 12 months ago if I thought this would be the journey I’d be about to take, I wouldn’t have believed you…..but sometimes things just don’t work out they way we plan!

Well, maybe a little about the medical stuff (in layman’s terms of course)….

At the age of 13 I was diagnosed with pituitary problems (which the drs put down to being something I was probably born with), that meant my body never produced oestrogen as the signals from the pituitary gland (brain) to the ovaries didn’t work….(and also the growth hormone bit doesn’t work which makes it really hard to lose weight but that’s a whole other story)….An array of heath issues including osteoporosis in the spine, and late development were caused by my body’s lack of oestrogen (and unfortunately mean I’ll always have back pain for the rest of my life)…..but that’s something I’ve learned to live with and manage….

Dear Jess, Good luck on your IVF journey. Make sure you look after your mental, and spiritual, health as much as you do with your physical. And if I can offer any advice it’s do your homework on a FS and don’t use any old clinic (our biggest, and most costly, mistake). Dr Kee Ong is worth a google. Sending you lots of baby dust!
