The Karaoglanis family have been vital and important members of the Nunawading Christian College community for more than 12 years, with 4 children having attended NCC (3 are current students) and Natalie working in the school with at least 4 different roles over the years. Many of you will have met Natalie at Reception or at Happy Hands. We love this family and our hearts are heavy with this latest news of Daniel’s diagnosis.

Daniel has had two surgeries to remove the tumor in his brain. However, as this is a very aggressive form of cancer (Glioblastoma), should he only consider treatment in Australia, his prognosis is only 12-18 months. His treatment is aggressive and due to begin immediately. But this is not a cure. The family have been in contact with several reputable treatment centres in the U.S.A. and have been liaisoning with a facility in Texas which offers cutting-edge treatment options with significant success. This will obviously be very expensive.

Natalie’s income has kept them financially afloat. However, during Daniel’s treatment, Natalie will need to be his carer. As their community, our donations here will go toward paying the significant medical bills and also support the loss of income that Natalie’s caring role will necessitate.

Every little bit counts, and this will be a long fight, so you may consider donating on a regular basis – perhaps once a month. Otherwise, a once off donation will be gratefully received. Let’s band together to support Daniel, Natalie, Karla, Emily (Yr7), Jake (Yr5), and Nathaniel (Yr3) in their fight.
