help with Neuro spine surgery

I know that in reality I haven’t don’t anything to cause the issues I have, but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t affect the way I feel. I am crushed that at 43 years old I can’t do even the simplest of tasks like making dinner without it being a huge chore. I love to cook and bake and now days I can’t because I can’t stand or sit for any length of time.

I have a very long story that leads us to where we are today and for right now I am gong to leave it out. (I will include it when I have my laptop back and can type on it instead of this phone).

The short story is that 4 years ago the leads for my spinal neurostimulator broke! Thanks to insurance I had to wait 6 months to get them replaced and the surgeon that did it didn’t place them in the same area on my spine. Well due to nerve damage I have from another issue the leads are not working the way that they need to for me to get any relief. Pain medication don’t really help and honestly do more damage to your body in the long run for example I now have high blood pressure which before 2010 I NEVER HAD.

Anyways on Sept of 2017 my spine doctor sent me to a new Neuro surgeon when I broke down in tears in his office. This new doctor was awesome he even saw me THE SAME DAY. He decided he wanted to get a newer version of the neurostimulatir implanted before trying to adjust the leads. Well that surgery didn’t help and after 9 months of the St Jude technicians trying to adjust the programming he has finally agreed to move forward with moving the leads.

He sent me right away for new xrays, and I was unable to get the xrays because I am $1300 away from meeting my deductible. Which means I have to pay a minimum of 60% of the cost of the xrays. Which is $265 for the 4 xrays (2 Radex Spine Thoracolumbar, and 2 HC Spine Thoracolumbar). After 4 years of no income, and Brett job not paying as much as he used to make we just don’t have it.

We will also need assistance with the surgery deposit. Which is $585, hence why we have set the limit at what we have.

If you can donate $5 – $20 and share it with others hopefully we can get the money asap. The surgeon has me scheduled for surgery on 07/06 which is just 2 weeks away.

I just want to be able to work again, I want to be “normal”. I want to participate in my community. I want to LIVE! I want out of bed. I want to be able to financially support my family again and not have too ask others for help but be able to help others again.

There are 2 ways to donate here, either via the paypal link they provide (fastest way for us to receive it), the 2nd is via chuffed’s 3rd party biller stripe (Which takes a minimum of 7 days they say.) Due to the fact that surgery is scheduled for 07/06 we are requesting that paypal be chosen if at all possible for you.
