In April our friend Fiona Murgatroyd (Doyle) suffered a stroke which caused her to lose function of the right side of her body. After an extended hospital stay with intensive rehab, and ongoing rehab after returning home, Fiona has regained some of the movement the stroke took away but there is still a long road to travel.

The stroke has had a major impact on Fiona, her husband Sean and their (almost) 4 year old daughter Rosie.

While the rehab continues, Fiona is unable to do many of the things she would normally do to care for her family, including contributing financially to the family.

With their budget stretched to cover medication and treatments as well as normal household bills, we want to help ease some of the financial stress so Fiona, Sean and Rosie can focus on Fiona’s recovery.

Fiona has spent most of her life in generous service to her local community, parish and wider group of family and friends. It is now our turn to give back to this wonderful person we are blessed to know and love.

We are aiming to raise $10,000 to help Fiona, Sean and Rosie to focus on Fiona’s recovery, knowing that the bills are covered.

100% of funds raised will be paid directly to Fiona.
