For the past 24 years ‘Word on Heath’ has produced a free, weekly, editorially independent, broadcast service for healthcare charities and licenced, professionally ran, community based, volunteer led, radio stations across the UK.

From Speyside to the Sicily Isles, ‘Word on Health’ raises vital awareness of health conditions and patient issues that stuggle to get the publicity they need on radio. So far over 600 healthcare charities, patient groups and NGO’s have benefited from our support.

The radio stations who broadcast our professionally produced radio reports and the charities we support, don’t possess the budgets or the resources to create or pay for the content we provide free of charge each week. We aren’t eligible for public funding or grants.

Alongside gratefully accepting donations we’ve drawn upon the extensive professional experience of our award winninging editorial team to design a series of online media and communication skills training courses (identified here as ‘perks’) ranging from just £10 that will both benefit you, as our supporter and, allow us to continue our work freely supporting health charities, patient groups and community broadcasters.
