On Saturday, August 30th, Jesse Smith, current Art Teacher at Austin High School, was knocked off his ladder while cutting down a tree that had fallen in his backyard. He was severely injured and flown to intensive care at Saint Mary’s Rochester, MN. He broke his collarbone and 10 ribs creating a laceration to his lung. He will be having surgery on his ribs; they are placing titanium plates in between them to hopefully help with a more speedy recovery. We will continue to update you on how he is doing. The Smith family will be staying in hotels, driving to and from Austin, and also facing medical bills. Please donate to help cover these costs, if you are able.
