Paul and Lina Ford have always been there for their community, dedicating their careers to helping others. Paul serves as the Mobile Integrated Healthcare Coordinator with the Las Cruces Fire Department, and Lina works as an Assistant Director of Consultants, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Now, as their five-year-old son Liam bravely battles Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, they find themselves in need of support from the very community they’ve given so much to. Liam is a creative and adventurous child who loves playing T-ball, riding his bike, and building things in Minecraft. He enjoys painting, drawing, and exploring new places, and he’s already looking forward to playing soccer next year. His diagnosis has brought significant changes to the family’s daily life, requiring both Paul and Lina to take leave from work so they can be by Liam’s side during treatment. This has created a sudden loss of income, while regular bills and the added cost of daily travel to El Paso for Liam’s care continue to mount. Paul and Lina are surrounded by a caring and supportive community, but the immediate financial impact of travel and ongoing expenses is overwhelming. By coming together to support the Ford family, we can help ease their burden and allow them to focus on what matters most—helping Liam heal. UPDATE: The PET scan and bone marrow test results are in and it has been determined that Liam has stage 1 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He will begin treatment today and will be able to go home 96 hours later.
