Bill Werwage needs our help! If you have been even moderately involved in the art and sport of Control Line Precision Aerobatics – or as we call it, “Stunt” – the name Bill Werwage is probably not only one that you recognize, but also one that you revere. Bill’s accomplishments and contributions to the art and sport of Control Line Stunt are legendary, as is “The Man” himself. His iconic designs have stood the test of time. His Ares, USA-1, Juno, Junar, Geo-XL, and P-47 Thunderbolt series of designs are known and loved world wide. Truly the Stunt community owes a debt of gratitude to Bill for all the inspiration and instruction he has provided over the six-plus decades he has been building flying, and competing. Sadly, Bill is now experiencing a number of extremely serious health issues, and he is unable to sustain himself. Many reading this may not know that Bill and his wife, Lorraine own and operate a stable called Pony Tales Farm. But this is not your typical horse farm; it is home to several rescued and rehabilitated ponies, and is a permanent sanctuary for those that cannot be placed anywhere else. Besides horses, Bill and Lorraine house and feed a number of other animals. Obviously the feed and vet bills pile up fast, and with Bill unable to work the farm, they are now in danger of losing everything for which they have worked so hard. As of this writing (August 26, 2025), Bill is in intensive care, and desperately needs our help. Bill has to undergo kidney Dialysis three days a week, and he has been diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer in his stomach. He may never be able to work the farm again. I’m asking that if you can contribute even a little to help Bill and Lorraine through this very tough time that you do so. I’m thinking of it as a very small way to thank Bill for all he has done for the modeling community, and for me personally. I first met Bill in 1961 at the Nationals, and have been learning from him ever since. To me, Bill is a member in good standing of the world-wide family of Stunt; perhaps you feel the same way. – Bob Hunt
