IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE …. This is very humbling for me, but I am between a rock and a hard place. I was just diagnosed 8/24/25 with a rare pancreatic squamous cell carcinoma along with metastatic liver cancer and “possible” metastatic adrenal glands. Yes…My prognosis is very poor. BUT thats not why I’m here. I just started my new clinic nurse job at the same school as my grandson Aiden. Unfortunately, I have no insurance until Oct 1. Yet, that’s only if I’m able to remain working for a little longer. There are 2 test they want to do asap to completely confirm (a fancy named tumor marker of some sort and a PET scan) Then maybe I can get “Radical” once I know all the facts. These 2 test are approx $8k total. (Needed ASAP) Then theres the move to get Aiden to Virginia, the estate planner to set up a trust and guardianship for Aiden along with my living will. Thats another $4/5k (needed ASAP) Plus there’s all the “yet unknowns” that are certain to unfold. I really need to fight this beast long enough to get my special needs grandsons affairs “iron clad” and “legally” in order. I’ve had him since he was a baby. He has no active parents and my sister and her husband will be assuming guardianship in VA. However, it’s a very complex situation and I am on borrowed time. I can happily transition into the great beyond, in complete peace, knowing Aiden and the rest of my family are solid! ❤️ They are very supportive and I’m a very lucky they always have my back. Bottom line… I can’t do all this for Aiden unless I can begin the preliminary process right away to see exactly what my options are. In my case, time is literally of the essences.️ I have only 3-12 months with my current prognosis. I have to be able to work at my new job with all this crashing down on me. I’ve always been a fighter and a loner but I really need as much friendship, love and support as the universe deems worthy of me. ️ Lastly, please trust, Im only asking to for help for my medical/estate/guardianship funds to possibly prolong my life long enough to secure Aidens future.
