On Thursday, August 28th our lives took an unexpected turn as our wife and mother Rose, the bedrock of our family, had a sudden stroke during the morning hours and was rushed to the emergency room. She is currently in the CCU, fighting hard and enduring a battery of tests to find the root cause of her stroke to prevent further damage and not exacerbate the current weakness, paralysis, and inability to fully communicate. For those of you who know her. you know she won’t be going down easy. Rose has a long road to recovery ahead of her and we have a number of things to consider moving forward. One thing that is high in priority is having funds to move into a new home. Our current place has 4 flights of stairs and will not be conducive to her moving up and down when she is able to come home again. These funds will help us have enough for a deposit to secure a place and have it ready for her upon her arrival. Financial security would ensure time can be taken by her family to get things ready and be by her side in her recovery and transition home. All additional funds raised will be used to help offset the cost of her hospital stay and eventual rehabilitation, medication regimen, and accommodations to make her more comfortable at home. Rose always does anything and everything she can do for those around her, and it’s time to give back to her in any way we can.
