100% of funds will go towards therapy for camp mystic kids and families affected. Seeking to raise funds for therapy costs for the girls of Camp Mystic and their families. Camp Mystic in Hunt, TX experienced catastrophic flooding overnight on 7/4/25. The Guadalupe River surged as much as 22 feet in just half an hour Friday morning to a height of 30 feet in the nearby town of Comfort in Kerr County, breaking a record that had stood for decades.The youngest cabins were swept away. About 20 girls are still missing. Helicopters conducting search rescue efforts throughout the day – finding many girls in trees miles away. Evacuation efforts will continue. These girls and their families will require professional therapy to combat the longterm effects from PTSD. I live in Dallas and the families affected are in my orbit. I do not have kids myself but I am known in Dallas as “Aunt Grace” to so many because I am close with my niece and nephew. I have a huge heart for kids and know the importance of therapy first hand. I am still trying to figure out the details of what to do next, especially as more information about who was impacted continues to develop. I am gathering therapist information and have it shared on the gofundme page. I am reaching out to therapists on how to proceed. I am connecting with lawyers on how to properly set up a fund and distribute to beneficiaries. I am gathering resources and trusting that God will do the rest. I appreciate you reaching out and I am open to any suggestions! I am hoping we will be able to raise enough so that many families can benefit from it. I am considering creating a “healing day” of sorts where families can grieve in community and access therapists in one place. I don’t know.
