I am Lisanne Allen and I am starting this page for myself. I have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma stage 3 in the umbilicus that is very aggressive. On a recent CT scan that was done it was found that my cancer has metastasized to my abdominal muscles. Because my cancer is very aggressive I have to go to MD Anderson in Houston TX. I was trying to seek surgery in my hometown of El Paso, Texas, but the hospital denied my surgery as they are having issues with my insurance. I am asking for any donation to help me with any expenses that I may have while traveling back-and-forth to MD Anderson for my evaluation and then again from my surgery, I am a nurse who is also a single mother with a 19-year-old son in college and since my insurance is not covering a lot of these expenses, I am turning to GoFundMe.
