On June 28, 2025, Stu was admitted to Mayo Clinic Hospital and was soon after diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (“APL”). APL is a rare type of blood cancer that affects the white blood cells. After being in the hospital for thirty-nine days and receiving in-patient chemotherapy, Stu was released with a positive prognosis. Looking forward, Stu will receive out-patient chemotherapy for the next seven months, five days a week. After this, we are hopeful that Stu will be in complete genetic remission. We are so grateful for the medical team and the family and friends that have been supporting Stu through this process! If you are in a position to contribute to the cost of treatment, anything helps.
