Hi! My name is Abrianna & I am creating this GoFundMe for my friend, Karlee, & her sweet boy, Jaxton, who has cerebral palsy. Jaxton is 10 years old, 75lbs & only getting bigger. He loves to play everywhere that allows him to & even places that seem difficult but are always possible because of his determined mom. His favorite thing of all though is is trucks (last I heard it was fire trucks, lol). Jaxton is continuously growing & getting him where he needs to go grows challenging as time passes because his current transportation is not equipped for his wheelchair. Karlee is a single mom to 2 beautiful kids & sole income is her small business. Despite her business being successful, raising a child with disabilities is and will always be more costly and often even difficult to navigate financially. Not only that, but Karlee would help everyone else before worrying about herself & she is completely determined to “figure this out,” but I don’t think she should have to on her own. A wheelchair-accessible van would be life-changing for Jaxton. It would make everyday things like doctor appointments, therapies, school, and even family putting so much easier, safer, and a lot less stressful. Most importantly, it would give Jaxton the freedom and comfort he deserves. Karlee has spoken to everyone she needs to regarding waivers and grants, but there is still a large amount for this conversion that is not covered. She was also advised to purchase a new vehicle in order to make the conversion worth it long term, but that is not included in the goal. Due to unnecessarily high costs for accessibility, I am asking for any help that you can offer, any dollar amount or even something as simple as sharing this link.
