Product Description
Amy is an incredible woman with a heart of gold. She has been a school teacher for over 30 years (half in TN and the other half in NC). On June 16th, Amy was diagnosed with Anorectal Mucosal Melanoma (AMM). AMM is a rare and aggressive cancer. It’s a type of mucosal melanoma, which means it arises from melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) in mucous membranes. AMM is particularly challenging due to its rarity and aggressive nature. After seeing Specialists at both Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York and at MD Anderson in Texas, Amy now has a treatment plan to begin. After being home for 2 days, we have to head back to Houston. On Monday, July 21st we will start our drive there. Amy has a brain MRI on Wednesday, starts Immunotherapy on Thursday and begins Radiation the following Monday. We will be gone a total of 20 nights.
