Help Kira Heal After a Terrible Accident Hello, my name is Danielle, and I am a close friend and coworker of Kira. I’ve had the privilege of knowing her both personally and professionally, and I can say without hesitation that she is one of the kindest, hardest-working, and most genuine people you could ever meet. It breaks my heart to see her going through such a difficult time, and I’ve created this fundraiser to help ease her financial burden as she recovers. On August 16th, Kira’s life changed in an instant. While riding an electric bicycle, she was struck by a car. The driver fled the scene, leaving her unconscious and alone in the street. Thankfully, a passerby called 911, and when first responders arrived, they found Kira fighting for her life. Kira suffered serious injuries, including: A broken bone under her left eye socket A fracture to the bone around her left nose and cheek area Several broken teeth Deep wounds to her left hand, arm, and leg A severe concussion Her doctors have said that her recovery will be long and difficult. At this time, it is likely she will need facial reconstruction and plastic surgery as part of her healing journey. In the meantime, she requires around-the-clock care from her closest family and friends. She will also be unable to work for the next several months, leaving her with mounting medical bills and everyday expenses she cannot manage alone. This fundraiser is to help cover Kira’s medical costs and personal expenses while she focuses on recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a direct impact on her ability to heal without the added stress of financial hardship. In addition to this GoFundMe, there will be more opportunities to support Kira’s recovery. Our amazing family at Buffalo Wild Wings in Concord, NC will be hosting raffles, giveaways and silent auctions during football Saturdays and Sundays. Items will include gift cards, sauces, sports memorabilia and plenty of fun swag, with all proceeds going directly toward Kira’s care. Kira is strong and determined, but she cannot do this alone.
