On a regular summer day, 7-year-old Natalie was playing, laughing, and doing all the things a vibrant little girl loves. Just days later, she was in the hospital receiving the devastating diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML)—an aggressive form of cancer that requires immediate, intensive inpatient treatment. In the blink of an eye, her family’s world was turned upside down. Natalie has now begun a long and grueling journey of chemotherapy and hospital stays far from home. Her parents, Jill and Otis, have stepped away from their daily life to be by her side—juggling fear, exhaustion, and logistics no parent should ever have to face. Anyone who knows Jill and Otis knows that they are the first to show up when someone is hurting, to offer help without hesitation, and to make others feel seen and supported. Now it’s our turn to show up for them—with the same compassion and strength they’ve always extended to others.
