Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I’m raising funds for my incredible sister, Darci Fox to help her regain her independence with hand controls for her car. Over the past few years, Darci has faced more challenges than most of us can imagine. She’s undergone multiple major surgeries—including open-heart surgery—and spent over six months in physical rehabilitation, fighting to regain her strength. On top of her health struggles, she’s also endured the loss of two vehicles due to accidents. Through it all, Darci has never stopped pushing forward. She’s continued to work, relying on Uber and other ride services to get where she needs to go. She’s done everything she can to provide for her two children and stay afloat under the weight of overwhelming medical expenses. Now, she needs our help. Due to her medical condition, Darci can no longer safely drive a standard vehicle. To regain her independence and continue caring for her family, she needs to have her car outfitted with hand controls. Unfortunately, her insurance doesn’t cover the cost—and it’s more than she can afford on her own. Hand controls will mean more than just driving—they will give Darci back her freedom. She will be able to take her kids where they need to go, get to work without relying on expensive ride services, and begin moving toward a place of stability and self-sufficiency again.
