Stand with Albert: Beat Cancer Together

We are raising money to help support our dear friend of over 30 years, Albert Malik Edmundson, as he continues his battle against colon cancer. The funds raised will help Albert cover his growing medical expenses.

Albert was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer on August 23, 2023. Following his diagnosis, he was unable to return to work at Washington Latin PCS, where he served in school administration for 5 years and as a Dean of Students for 9 years. Throughout his time at Latin, his larger-than-life personality has positively impacted hundreds of students and, by extension, the broader community.

Now, in 2025, Albert continues to fight with the help of the medical team at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland.

Albert’s family and friends are asking for your support to help cover the increasing costs of home care and other medical and personal care needs. Any amount is deeply appreciated. If you’ve ever known or met Albert, you know he is a man of genuine sincerity, dedicated to his community in all he does.
