So here we are…day 10 at Dayton Children’s Hospital. It started with a trip to the pediatrician for what I thought was an abdominal injury or hernia from “sledding” in the yard and turned into a hospital admission and surgery to remove a large tumor from her abdomen. We have a long road ahead of us and will be receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments but Layla is handling it all so well for the most part. Dayton Children’s has done such a wonderful job bringing a smile to her face daily with dog visits, Dayton dragons players, games, crafts, toys and entertainment. And I cannot thank my friends, coworker, her friends and family enough for all the love and support through all of this. I will try and provide updates on how Layla is doing occasionally. Please just pray for my sweet girl.
