Aloha Technics Jiu-Jitsu friends, family, and extended jiu-jitsu ʻohana,
Our dear friend and teammate Chanh Tran is in the fight of his life.
A dedicated student, loyal training partner, and unforgettable character both on and off the mat, Chanh was recently diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer — a devastating and aggressive illness that has turned his world upside down.
Despite this unimaginable news, Chanh has approached each day with the same strength, humility, and stubborn grit that he brings to every roll. He’s shown up to the mat countless times for all of us — whether to help us train, make us laugh, or talk story when we needed it most. He’s the guy you can count on for a hard round… and probably an even harder roast afterward.
Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Chanh is currently undergoing intensive treatment, including chemotherapy and other medical procedures. The financial burden is overwhelming — from hospital stays and medications to travel, daily living costs, and time away from work.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Medical treatments and prescriptions
• Transportation and travel for care
• Essential living expenses during recovery
• Any additional support for Chanh and his family along the way
