On May 27, 2025, Trey James — a devoted husband, proud father, loving son, and loyal friend — suffered a massive stroke caused by a blood clot that traveled from his right leg to his heart, then to his brain, and finally down the left side of his neck, where doctors were able to remove it. The full extent of the damage is still unknown. He is currently on a ventilator to help his body rest as doctors continue to run tests and determine the best course of action moving forward.
Trey was airlifted to one of the top hospitals and is currently in the Neuro Critical Care Unit in Dothan, Alabama. With so many uncertainties, it’s difficult to know what the road ahead looks like. What we do know is that his recovery will be long, intense, and life-altering.
Trey’s wife, Bobbie, is now facing an unimaginable situation — staying by her husband’s side in an out-of-state hospital while also trying to care for their four children, two of whom are very young. Trey was the sole provider for their family, and this sudden medical crisis has completely upended their lives.
As the James’ navigate this medical crisis, they are also facing acute financial pressures — extensive hospitalization and possible rehabilitation, loss of income, and child care expenses.
We’re asking for your help to support this family and to help ease the burden on Bobbie and the kids so they can focus on what truly matters: healing, stability, and being together as a family.
