Help Don Baylon Heal and Rebuild After Life Altering Surgery
Story
Our beloved brother, Don Baylon, recently experienced a medical emergency that has brought unexpected and life changing challenges. Don was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare and aggressive infection that led to the amputation of his left leg below the knee. He spent several days in the ICU, and through the power of prayer and the quick, skilled response of his medical team, his life was saved. But his journey is far from over.
Don is currently still in the hospital, recovering from the surgery and the trauma his body has endured. He will soon begin intensive rehabilitation as he prepares for the many physical and emotional challenges ahead.
Don now faces a long and difficult road to recovery, including physical therapy, rehabilitation, and eventually adjusting to life with a prosthetic limb. Doctors estimate it will be at least a year of healing and recovery before Don can return to work. During this time, his medical expenses are growing rapidly, and he will be out of work for the foreseeable future.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that Don is also the primary caretaker and provider for our elderly parents, a responsibility he has carried with love, strength, and selflessness for many years. Don has always been someone who steps up to help others.
Whether through his generosity, his ability to comfort others with heartfelt wisdom, or his warm encouragement and constant support, Don has given so much of himself to his family, friends, and community. He has always been the one to help, never the one to ask for help.
Now, Don is the one who needs us.
We are raising funds to help Don with:
* Prosthetics and medical equipment
* Ongoing medical expenses and rehabilitation
* Home modifications for accessibility and safety
* Essential daily living costs during his recovery
* Caregiving support for our parents while Don recovers
Don is more than a loving brother. He is a devoted son, a joyful uncle, a loyal friend, a mentor, a joyful soul, and the heart of every family gathering.
Don is only 43 years old. His body may be healing, but his spirit remains strong. He continues to face this challenge with courage, determination, and unwavering faith. We want to give him the best chance to regain his independence, heal fully, and continue being the light in so many people’s lives.
If you know Don, you know he is full of life, love, and laughter. He is the one who brings smiles, sings from the heart, and always checks on everyone else. Now is our time to come together and help carry him through this chapter.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this incredibly difficult time. We are truly grateful.
With love and gratitude,
Estelle, Bobby, & Michelle
