Story

On Tuesday, May 20th, Andrew Woodruff experienced a sudden and life-threatening medical emergency. He was lifting in his garage and suffered a ruptured aorta. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and taken into emergency surgery, a six-hour procedure saving his life. Andrew is currently in the ICU and thanks to the incredible St Luke’s medical team, he’s making an incredible recovery.

Andrew is the kind of person who shows up for everyone else. He’s a devoted husband and amazing dad to Landon, a beloved middle school teacher at Kuna Middle School (recently honored as Teacher of the Year), and a former Boise State football player who went on to play for the Montreal Alouettes. His life has always been about others, his family, teammates and students, now, it’s our turn to support him.

Andrew’s recovery will take a lot of time, and it’s unclear if he’ll be able to return to work. With mounting medical bills and an extended ICU stay, the Woodruff family needs the support of our community more than ever.

For those looking for additional ways to help, we’ve also set up a Meal Train to provide meals for Andrew’s family. For those who are more comfortable giving directly to Cari, her Venmo is @Cari-Woodruff

If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this page in hopes to reach others and spread the word. Thank you. – Tad Miller
