Help Sharren Come Home: Support Her Stroke Recovery Journey

Dear friends and family!

I’m reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly important to me, my best friend, Sharren, who suffered a life-altering stroke on April 4. While we are grateful that she survived, the impact of the stroke has been profound, and it has dramatically altered the course of her life.

Sharren is a fighter. With determination and grace, she’s already made inspiring progress in her recovery. However, she now faces a new reality: she has lost the ability to walk and relies on a wheelchair for mobility.

In order for Sharren to return home and continue healing in a safe and supportive environment, urgent home modifications are essential.

These modifications include (but are not limited to):
• Widening doorways for wheelchair access
• Installing a stair lift for safe access to the second floor
• Replacing carpeting and uneven flooring with smooth, accessible surfaces
• Creating a roll-in shower with grab bars and a shower chair
• Lowering countertops and cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom
• Building a wheelchair ramp at the front entrance
• Installing automatic door openers and lever-style door handles
• Adjusting light switches and outlets for easier reach

These are not luxuries, they are necessities for Sharren to regain her independence, dignity, and quality of life.

We’re asking for your help to raise funds to cover the cost of these modifications and ensure Sharren can come home to a space that supports her recovery.
